Hotel Pickup
Pickup from your hotel or accommodation in Diani, Mombasa, Tiwi, or Ukunda.
Drive in a private or shared air-conditioned van to Shimoni village (approx. 1.5 to 2.5 hours depending on your location).
Arrival in Shimoni & Dhow Boarding

Arrive at Shimoni Jetty.
Tea/coffee/light snacks may be offered at the jetty.
Board a traditional dhow (wooden sailing boat).
Safety briefing and distribution of snorkeling gear.

Cruise & Dolphin Watching
Cruise through the Wasini Channel toward Kisite Marine Park.
High chance to see spinner and bottlenose dolphins.
Guides may point out coral reefs, birdlife, or sea turtles.

Snorkeling at Kisite Marine Park
Anchor at the coral-rich snorkeling spot inside Kisite Marine Park.
Snorkeling session (~1 to 1.5 hours):
Colorful corals
Reef fish (parrotfish, butterflyfish, angelfish)

Sea turtles
Rays (occasionally)
Non-swimmers are often assisted with life jackets or floatation rings.

Optional: Visit a nearby sandbank (depending on tide conditions).
Refreshments on Board
Light refreshments offered on the dhow:
Fresh tropical fruits
Water / soft drinks
Sail to Wasini Island
Short cruise to Wasini Island for lunch.
Disembark at a beach restaurant with ocean views.

Swahili Lunch
Enjoy a local Swahili-style lunch (often includes):
Grilled or coconut fish, crab, or prawns
Coconut rice or chapati
Local vegetables
Fresh tropical fruits
Optional: wine/beer (some packages include drinks)
Vegetarian/non-seafood meals available with advance notice.
Optional Cultural & Historical Activities
Choose one or more of the following (some may require a small fee):

Visit Shimoni Slave Caves
Wasini Coral Garden & Women’s Boardwalk
Short village walk or cultural interaction
Return to Shimoni & Drive Back
Sail back to Shimoni mainland by dhow (~15–20 mins).

Return to vehicle and begin drive back to hotel.
